Why this exists
We've all done the Facebook Marketplace thing. We've tried Craigslist. Both feel like shouting into a void and hoping someone within a 50-mile radius hears you. Spam listings, fake accounts, and an algorithm deciding what you see.
Fredericksburg deserved something better. Something local. Something with soul. A place where neighbors could post their Saturday yard sale and the folks two streets over would actually see it.
So we built WeekendMarket. No account required. No tracking. No corporate entity deciding which yard sales deserve to be seen. Just a community board that works.

This is a love letter to the town we call home.

It's built by someone who lives here. Who shops at the same yard sales, walks the same sidewalks, and cares about whether the neighborhood softball team is having another bake sale.
This is a community tool, not a product. There's a difference.
